Linkin1 ShieldProtection system

A shield for your visitors

Linkin1 Shield is the protection system built into every Linkin1 page. It checks links and text before they are published, and keeps phishing, scam and malware links away from your visitors — automatically, with nothing for you to set up.

How it works

Protection at three moments

Shield does not wait for a complaint. It steps in before you save, keeps watching after you publish, and guards every visit.

Before you save

Every link or text you write in any feature is checked the moment you save. If a link is blocked, a note appears under the field while you type, before you even press "Save".

After you publish

The protection lists are updated all the time. If a published link later turns out to be harmful, the button that carries it is hidden from your public page automatically — your page and account are not blocked.

On every visit

Every page shown to a visitor passes through Shield, so no visitor reaches a harmful link, even one saved before it was added to the list.

What makes it different

Smart enough to see through tricks

Sees disguised links

Links written with spaces, look-alike symbols or hidden encoding — like "b i t . l y" or "example[.]com" — are caught as if they were written normally.

Global protection lists

More than 850,000 phishing, malware and scam domains from specialist security sources, updated daily, alongside rules added by the Linkin1 team.

Cleans app links

Wrapped Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp links (such as l.instagram.com) are swapped for the real link automatically, and the real link is then checked itself.

Technically safe links

Links with a raw IP address, an unusual port or login details inside them are refused, because these are among the most common tricks.

Protects every feature

Not just buttons: pop-up text, descriptions, menus, forms and imported files are covered too, and every new feature is protected from day one.

Hides, never punishes

When a link is blocked, only its button is hidden. Your page and the rest of your links keep working as usual.

What it stops

Links that have no place on Linkin1

The full list of prohibited content is in the Terms of Use.

  • Phishing, account theft and fake login pages.
  • Malware and harmful files or apps.
  • Financial scams, false promises and "selling dreams".
  • Hacking, spyware and IP-tracking tools.
  • Shortened and redirect links that hide the real destination.
  • Blocked or suspicious websites that break the Terms of Use.
For page owners

Strict with links, fair with you

A warning before you save

You see the blocked domain under the field as you type, so you know the problem before you lose your edits.

Old links never hold you up

Links saved before their domain was added to the list do not stop you from saving the rest of your page.

A clear reason in your dashboard

If a link is hidden from your page, the reason appears in that link's editor, and you can remove or replace it.

No account ban over a link

Shield only hides the offending link. Your page, your account and the rest of your content stay as they are.

For visitors

Confidence in every click

When you see the "Protected by Linkin1 Shield" badge at the bottom of a page, you know its links go through checks. If you come across a page that breaks the rules, report it and our team will review it.

FAQ

Questions about Linkin1 Shield

No. It works automatically on every free and paid account, with no setup.
Because the link's domain is on the block list, or because it is a shortened or redirect link that hides the real destination. Use the direct link to the final destination and it will save normally.
Shortened links hide the real destination from your visitors and are often used to slip harmful links through. A direct link is clearer for your visitors and safer.
Contact us and send the link, and our team will review it. If it turns out to be safe, the block is lifted.
Only the button that carries the link is hidden. Your page, your account and your other links keep working, and a notice in your dashboard explains why.
No. It only checks the text and links you publish on your page. It never reads passwords, login codes or payment details.
